De Nationale Toekomstcursus

Become a futures thinker!

On Wednesday, November 27, De Nationale Toekomstcursus will be launched at the Next Nature Museum in Eindhoven. Leading experts such as Koert van Mensvoort, Tessa Cramer, and Farid Tabarki will teach you the skills of a futures thinker. Everyone is welcome and admission is free!

We think about the future every day: planning a vacation or buying insurance. But also climate activists blocking a highway or tech entrepreneurs who want to make space travel to Mars possible. We are constantly making choices for a future that doesn't exist yet. That's why it's important to work on your futures skills, from creativity and mental time travel to dealing with uncertainty.

In an inspiring and interactive program, several speakers will take you into the world of future thinking:

  • Koert van Mensvoort // Director // Next Nature
  • Tessa Cramer // Lector Designing the future // Fontys Hogeschool
  • Loes Damhof // UNESCO Chair on Futures Literacy // Hanze University of Applied Sciences
  • Farid Tabarki // Founder // Studio Zeitgeist
  • Rudy van Belkom // Director // Stichting Toekomstbeeld der Techniek (STT)

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2024
14.00 - 17.00

Free entrance. You can register by sending an email to info@stt.nl.

Why a course for the future?

The future belongs to all of us, and we all have a say in it. At least, in theory. Today, the future is still often determined by a small group of people. Many people feel despondent about the future and think they have no influence. But there is hope: together we can work toward a brighter future.

We present to you De Nationale Toekomstcursus: a free online course for everyone who wants to learn more about futures thinking.

The goal of this course is to show how you can influence your own future as well as our collective future.

Initiative

De Nationale Toekomstcursus is an initiative of Stichting Toekomstbeeld der Techniek (STT). STT has been exploring the future since 1968. STT's publications are very diverse: books, documentaries, serious games and now the Toekomstcursus.
