This December, the Next Nature Museum is hosting a photo competition to find the most impressive Kapla creations. During the Christmas holidays, the mini-exhibition Litterbugs by artist and filmmaker Henk Loorbach will be on display. As insect populations decline, the problem of plastic pollution grows. Both are microcosms that surround us, almost invisible at first glance. However, where insects were once seen as pests and plastic as a symbol of progress and prosperity, these roles are now reversing. By creating bugs from discarded plastic, Henk Loorbach makes this issue both visible and personal to viewers through his exhibition which can also be purchased by visitors.
