Jump in the picture!

Discover the magic of film technology during this interactive green screen workshop by Cinekid. How exactly does a green screen work, and what can you do with it? Children will learn these exciting concepts playfully as they literally jump into a photo, armed with a green cloth.

During the workshop, participants can choose from several unique backgrounds that are also featured in the exhibitions. They can immerse themselves in the meditative forest with fractal trees from the Digital Wellness Center, explore a futuristic Martian landscape from the Spacefarming exhibition, or take a step back in time at Retrofuture.

This creative and educational experience introduces children to visual effects and digital design in a fun and engaging way.

Film fun during spring break with Cinekid

During spring break, the Next Nature Museum presents a specially curated film program by Cinekid—a unique selection of short films for children aged 6 and up. These films are not only visually impressive but also invite reflection and wonder. Each story offers a distinctive perspective on themes such as identity, cooperation, and technology—perfect for an educational and entertaining cinematic experience.

The films in the program:

Buitenaards – Julia Ocker – 6 min
An astronaut lands on an unknown planet. But what are those strange creatures? A humorous and colorful adventure into the unknown.

Blokjes – Adrian Jaffe – 3 min
Life is delightfully simple for the block characters, as long as everyone follows the same routine. But what if you want something a little different? A short animation about daring to deviate and staying true to yourself.

Moeder Batterij – Seungbae Jeon – 8 min
At the childcare center, Mother Battery takes care of all the devices. However, when a short circuit occurs, she faces a major challenge. Can she activate the fire alarm in time? A thrilling and moving film about responsibility and technology.

Let yourself be surprised by this remarkable cinematic experience, where education and imagination come together in an enchanting program for young viewers.
