Hospitalised Veterans Experience Virtual Parade

Google filmed the most recent NYC Veteran’s Day Parade in 360-degree video and created a VR version that would allow disabled or ill healthed veterans to experience the parade as well. The movie was shown on a Google Cardboard, allowing the veterans to temporarily escape their hospital beds to immerse themselves in a world of cheering crowds.

The action, called #UnitedWeMarch, is part of the Google Impact Challenge which focuses on improving the lives of the disabled.

Check the video below to get a hint of their experience (works best on a VR headset, of course).
