Surfing with nothing but brainwaves

I couldn't believe the news? Scientist are working on a system that allows you to surf the web with nothing but brainwaves. I thought surfing was a rich physical experience of navigating through a dynamic fluctuating environment. No? Was I that naive to think you need a body to surf?
