It was in the news all over the world, but wonder why at NextNature.net we have not mentioned the 'invention' of the transparent frog before? Probably because we think the frog is not transparent at all. It has no pigment, that is true, but neither do albinos, jellyfish or some species of plastic bags.
Little research learns us that nature itself produced a family of species called Centrolenidae, of which some members are transparent as well: the Glass Frogs. Now there is a clear sight! No chemicals. :)
Oh well here is a little credit to the scientists who made it possible to study the organs without cutting the amphibian: Rrribbit!
