General Visitor Terms and Conditions of Next Nature Network and the Next Nature Museum Version 11-10-2024
Next Nature Network applies General Visitor Terms and Conditions for visits to the Next Nature Museum. These General Visitor Terms and Conditions apply to all legal relationships between Next Nature Network, the Next Nature Museum, and visitors to exhibitions in the Next Nature Museum (formerly Evoluon). Dutch law applies to these General Visitor Terms and Conditions.
Definitions
- Next Nature Network: The foundation that operates the Evoluon and is registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 34389734.
- Evoluon: The national monument Evoluon from 1966, located at Noord Brabantlaan 1A, 5652 LA in Eindhoven.
- Visitor: Any person entering the Next Nature Museum and visiting the exhibitions.
- Entry Ticket: A ticket that provides access to the Next Nature Museum during opening hours.
- Admission Ticket: An entry ticket granting access to exhibitions in the Next Nature Museum.
- Staff: All persons working in the Next Nature Museum, either on a paid or voluntary basis
1. Access
1.1 The visitor is only entitled to enter the exhibitions at the Next Nature Museum upon presenting a valid admission ticket.
1.2 The visitor must present the admission ticket to officials of Next Nature Network upon request. Failure to do so may result in the visitor being denied access.
1.3 The visitor will not receive a refund of the admission fee in the event of loss or theft.
1.4 A pre-purchased entry ticket is only valid on the booked date.
1.5 An entry ticket can be exchanged under the conditions and instructions of Global Tickets.
1.6 Next Nature Network and the Next Nature Museum are not responsible for the purchase of admission tickets through third parties or entities with which Next Nature Network has not entered into an agreement.
1.7 Objects that pose a risk to the safety of persons, artworks, or the building of the Next Nature Museum are prohibited. These include:
a. Guns, firearms, and shooting weapons;
b. Any object capable of launching a projectile, causing injury or damage, or that appears to be usable for that purpose;
c. Pointed and/or sharp objects and items with points or cutting edges that can cause injury or damage;
d. Explosive and flammable substances;
e. Chemical and toxic substances.
If the visitor attempts to bring any of these items inside, they will be denied access to the Next Nature Museum. Objects found during the entry check that are legally prohibited will be handed over to the police. The visitor carrying these items will be detained and handed over to the police.
2. Rules of Conduct
2.1 Smoking is prohibited in the Next Nature Museum.
2.2 Pets are not allowed, except for service dogs.
2.3 Large bags, backpacks, baby carriers, umbrellas, and similar items must be left in the reception area. Free lockers are available for this purpose. Handbags and other small bags are permitted.
3. Liability
3.1 Next Nature Network is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
3.2 Next Nature Network is only liable for damage suffered by the visitor if and insofar as such damage is a direct result of gross negligence or intent on the part of Next Nature Network or the Next Nature Museum.
4. Safety and Emergencies
4.1 The visitor’s presence in the Next Nature Museum is at their own risk.
4.2 The instructions of the staff must always be followed.
4.3 Children under 12 years of age may only visit the exhibitions under the supervision of an adult. Parents or guardians are at all times responsible for the minors they accompany.
4.4 Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be denied access to the Next Nature Museum.
4.5 The visitor is liable for any damage they cause to the building or the collection on display.
4.6 Next Nature Network and the Next Nature Museum are entitled to deny the visitor access for a certain period:
a. If the visitor has damaged an object through negligence, gross negligence, or intent during a visit;
b. If Next Nature Network or the Next Nature Museum has reasonable grounds to believe that the visitor will cause damage to an object, harass another visitor, or engage in other inappropriate behavior.
c. Next Nature Network and the Next Nature Museum reserve the right to adjust regular opening hours when necessary due to operational requirements, emergencies, or drills related to emergency response or collection assistance.
5. Group Visits
5.1 The organizer of a group visit is the contact person and ensures that participants comply with the General Visitor Terms and Conditions.
5.2 Next Nature Network reserves the right to refuse groups access to the museum.
5.3 The chaperones from schools accompanying student groups remain responsible for the behavior of the students during the museum visit. Staff members of Next Nature Network may address the chaperones and request appropriate measures be taken.
5.6 Coats and bags must be stored in the group wardrobe. Valuables can be stored in the lockers of the wardrobe
6. Other Provisions
6.1 Lost and found items will be held by Next Nature Network and the Next Nature Museum.
6.2 When the owner of a found item comes forward, they may choose to collect the item or have it sent to them COD (cash on delivery).
6.3 Next Nature Network and the Next Nature Museum reserve the right to destroy found items that have not been collected after three months.
6.4 Prices of products and services are listed inclusive of VAT.
6.6 Deviations from the General Visitor Terms and Conditions are only valid if explicitly agreed upon in writing.
