2. Your Privacy

We respect your privacy and adhere to the rules of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We process your data only for specific purposes:

  • Performance of a contract: For sending tickets, webshop orders or memberships.
  • Explicit consent: For sending our newsletter or marketing communications.
  • Legitimate interest: For security (CCTV in the museum), quality improvement of our services and promotional reporting.

We do not store your data longer than strictly necessary. For administrative and fiscal data, we apply the statutory retention period of 7 years. CCTV footage is stored for a maximum of 4 weeks, unless an incident has occurred. We never sell your data to third parties.

3. Visual Material and Atmospheric Images

Next Nature may create atmospheric images (photo and video) during visits and events for reporting and promotional purposes. We do so based on our legitimate interest for marketing. If you are recognisably in the picture and object to this, we will remove the material in question upon first request and will no longer use it.

4. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to function properly and to see how the site is used.

  • Functional cookies: Necessary for the website to work (e.g. your shopping cart).
  • Analytical cookies: To improve the website (we use Google Analytics anonymously).

5. Your Rights

You always have control over your own data. In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Access, correction or deletion: You may request, adjust or have your data erased.
  • Restriction and Objection: You can have the processing of your data temporarily stopped or object to marketing.
  • Data portability: You have the right to receive your data in a standard digital format.
  • Right to complain: You can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you feel we are not handling your data correctly.

Please note: Do you wish to exercise these rights? Then we ask you to send a copy of your identity document to ensure that the request comes from you. Please black out your passport photo and BSN (citizen service number) to protect your privacy.

6. Copyright and Use

Everything you see on our website – from texts and images to videos – is the property of Next Nature or the creator of the material.

  • The commercial disclosure, reproduction or distribution of information (including photo and film recordings from the museum) is prohibited without prior written permission from the management.
  • We have done our best to arrange all copyrights properly. Do you think we are using material of which you are the owner without agreements being made? Then please contact us.

7. Disclaimer

We do our utmost to keep the website up to date and error-free. However, information may be outdated or contain a typo. Next Nature is not liable for damage arising from the use of information on this website or via external links (including hyperlinks and framing).
