How do you prepare students for a future that’s constantly evolving? At Next Nature, we believe that future literacy is essential—just like reading, writing, or math. Our educational programs help young minds understand, question, and shape the role of technology in tomorrow’s world.

From primary education to university level, our workshops, tours, and experiences are tailored to different age groups and learning styles. Always imaginative, always interactive, and always grounded in our vision: the future is not something that happens to us—it’s something we shape together.

We currently offer these core formats:

Speculative design, critical reflection, and wild ideas... Students explore emerging technologies and develop their own scenarios for possible futures—bridging science, design, and imagination. Each workshop links to (one of) our exhibitions and is adapted to the students' level (PO, VO, MBO, HBO, WO, VSO).

Join a guided exploration through the spaceship of the future, diving into our exhibitions RetroFuture, Spacefarming, and Digital Wellness Center.

Frame your museum visit with context and storytelling. Before or during your visit, our storytellers can give a powerful introduction to Next Nature’s philosophy and themes to prepare you for your exploration of the museum. Choose from all kinds of topics, like an introduction to Next Nature, past visions of tomorrow with RetroFuture, feeding 10 billion people in the future with Spacefarming, or the story of lab-grown meat in Meat the Future.

Looking for a future-focused program that aligns with a specific theme, assignment, or level? Our Academy team offers tailor-made experiences for classrooms, projects, or events, developing educational formats in co-creation with schools and other organizations. From one-off workshops to long-term collaborations, we’re happy to think along.
