Saliva testing for the perfect 3D printed sashimi? Japanese conceptual and speculative design studio, Open Meals have come up with a restaurant idea that tests customers’ saliva, faeces and urine to 3D print sushi that is customised to their nutritional needs. Called ‘Sushi Singularity’, customers are to send in their samples for testing well ahead of their meals in order to prepare them specifically for the needs of their bodies. This ingenious idea is centered around the assumption that hyper-personalisation will become an important aspect of future food.
