Mimica Touch

​​Developed by london-based industrial designer, Solveiga Pakštaitė, mimica touch is an intuitive cap or label that helps consumers track the true expiry date of their food products. Aimed at reducing the amount of food waste created, the label responds to temperature changes through a gel filling that goes from smooth to bumpy at the rate at which the food spoils. The bumpier the label, the closer the food is to expiring. Currently mimica touch can be used for juices, dairy and red meat and the team is looking to launch it as a product that can be picked up at your local supermarket very soon.
