Cyber Wagashi

Inspired by ‘Wagashi’, an ancient Japanese gastronomical culture of creating traditional confections that reflected the beauty of nature; Cyber Wagashi is only an updated version of the same tradition for the present. In a climate challenged world, how do we reflect our foods in accordance with our natures? An attempt to capture the disrupted seasons, Cyber Wagashi is 3D printed food that reflects weather data. A unique way of data visualisation, this project brings the urgency of the climate crisis straight to our taste buds.
