Becoming a musician means hours of practice. Though a simple jazz line is easy to learn. And while you play the basics, the MUSICA (Musical Improvising Collaborative Agent) plays a jazz improvisation next to you. The robot listens to you and reacts to your music in real time, giving you the ability to practice over and over again.
Nowadays it is common to decorate our skin with tattoos. Next to the aspects of beauty and storytelling a tattoo could also have other functions. Did you already hear about a small electronic circuit under your skin or even a phone by Google? Or tattoos that release medicine? Also the tattoo artist can be replaced by a robot arm. Soon someone will be able to put on his or her cv: tattoo artist, doctor and programmer at once.
We just explained you how to play a jazz improvisation with a robot. You can also take it next level and let a whole orchestra be conducted by a humanoid robot. Asimo by Honda is the proof that a humanoid robot can direct a whole orchestra.
Making a real good pizza is a craft in itself. However, when you have a restaurant filled with hungry guests you might consider to rely on a pizza baking robot. And why not to bake a pizza for the outer space? NASA has a visionary idea for a 3D pizza printer. Just don’t let the Italian hear it!
As an architect you will not get bored in the upcoming decades. We increasingly want to live in cities. Besides that the world population keeps growing, which means that we need more houses. Robotics and emerging technologies create new building techniques and materials. Some of them: the brick laying robot that builds a house in two days, the self healing concrete, living walls and the towers made out of bone.
