Analogue vs Digital: Digital Pets

In 1996, Tamagotchis were the most bought pets in the world. More than 40 million(!) were sold. Just like analogue pets, Tamagotchis require a lot of attention since they need to be fed, played with, and nurtured. Schools massively banned Tamagotchi at school since they distracted kids from learning. This led to the highest pet mortality rate ever known. Nowadays, almost all are residing in digital graves.
