Lego Towers

What did you play with when you were 8+ years old? Well let's say some people can never quit playing. The Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG, Copenhagen-based group of 85 architects, designers, builders and thinkers) proposed this grid of 3,6 x 3,6 meter squares, creating one continuous pixelated surface.

As a topographic map, the surface is morphed to form a terraced landscape of towers, accommodating 40.000 m2 housing, hotel, offices and shops.

The model looks like every room can be taken off and be placed elsewhere. Though I am sure this is not the case here; wouldn't it be an adventure to live in a world where you can move your house as easy as a Lego brick? --> On desire Fly (or zap) your house to a different location, land on top of a city-scraper and get connected to the local gas, sewer and electricity network instantly.

In space it could happen! (didn't the Borg invent it already?) Leave me with my dream; I'd love Next LegoLand!
