During Open Monumentendag (12 and 13 September), thousands of monuments in the Netherlands will be opened to the general public in order to increase public interest in monuments and support for monument conservation. Not only will thousands of monuments open their doors free of charge, but countless activities will also be organised: exhibitions, guided tours, cycling routes, walks, music performances and many activities for young people.
